Ken is typical of the rich experience and expertise possessed by BME staff. After a stint as a professional welder, he obtained his further education that he utilized in numerous field inspection projects before joining us in 1985. Ken’s capabilities are very wide ranging. He is a first-class lab technician, with a high level of skill on our SEM (scanning electron microscope). He supports numerous engineering projects.
His skills in various areas of non-destructive testing include development of a number of ultrasonic inspection procedures for crack detection on heavy mine vehicles. Ken is Operations Manager of BWIE projects, and when a tricky welding repair project is undertaken, Ken’s hands-on welding experience is a great asset.
